Not One but Two!

At the start of yesterday’s game less then 24hours ago the Flyers were still looking for win number one. Well a whole 24 hours later they have two wins, a lot better then just the one. After the smoked was cleared the Flyers finally got on the board and seem to put the last two weeks behind them, and hopefully never to be repeated. After a scoring feast last night, to a showdown of goaltending the Flyers seem to have improved in all areas.

Pros
Jeff Carter
Mike Richards
Scot Hartnell
Joffrey Lupul
Dainius Zubrus

Goofs
Martin Brodeur
Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond
Ryan Cote
Daniel Briere

Pros: Jeff Carter is leading this team with scoring goals and just being an offensive beast out there. Jeff Carter has dominated the ice for the last three games, and has been rewarded with already 5 goals on the year and looking for more. Mike Richards is proving why he is the captain with his great leadership, getting 4 assists last night, and just shows the NHL why he is a great leader. Scot Hartnell has stepped it up and looking like he could be a big goal scorer for the entire season. Lupul seems to be on a tear also, just getting involved in every play and showing off his skill. Zubrus has always played his best game against his former team, and earns his respect by me.

Goofs: Brodeur just doesn’t look like the goalie that many of us know, and I think it might be time for retirement. You hear all the time that goaltenders and regular players stay around to long. It happens in every sport some are not ready to let go. For Brodeur it’s not looking like an all-star season for him. Leblond was the idiot that made a very harmful check to Cote in last night’s game. I bone head play that lead to a Flyers goal is uncalled for. Ryan Cote seems to be losing the fights of lately and earned himself a goof not because he lost just that he should stop fighting before he really hurts his eyes. And Daniel Briere who will be out for a few weeks earns a goof title since the Flyers are doing well without him. I wish he the best of luck in his surgery and don’t hurry back.

For the city of Philadelphia we are just looking for one more win tonight for our city as the Phillies take on the Rays in Game 3.
